Where a Cedar Park car accident claim is filed
Cedar Park straddles the Williamson-Travis county line, and which side of it your crash happened on decides where a lawsuit goes. Most of the city sits in Williamson County, so most cases land at the Justice Center in Georgetown. A wreck in the southern reach near Anderson Mill can end up in Travis County instead.
Very few of these claims ever become lawsuits. Venue still shapes the negotiation, because the adjuster is pricing the risk of a jury from one county or the other, and those two juries are not the same.
The fault rule that decides most Cedar Park claims
Texas runs on proportionate responsibility. Under Tex. Civ. Prac. & Rem. Code § 33.001, you recover nothing at all if you are more than 50% to blame. Stay at or under that line and § 33.012 simply trims your recovery by your percentage. Thirty percent at fault on a $60,000 case leaves $42,000.

When 30/60/25 does not cover it

Where Cedar Park crashes actually happen
Whitestone Boulevard, which is RM 1431 on the map, is Cedar Park’s crash spine. It carries the city’s east-west load past the Lakeline retail cluster and absorbs HEB Center event traffic on top of that, and it is where the serious wrecks keep landing. Cedar Park police worked a fatal crash at Whitestone and North Lakeline Drive in April 2026, and major-crash closures at Whitestone and Bell Boulevard have become a recurring story.
The other pressure points are the 183A toll frontage merges, where drivers change speed and lanes at the same time, and Anderson Mill Road, whose older geometry was laid out for a much smaller city than the one using it now.

What to do in the first week
- Get examined the same day. Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is right in town. Adrenaline masks soft-tissue and head injuries for a day or two, and any gap between the crash and your first visit is the first thing an adjuster will point at.

Do I have to give the other driver’s insurer a recorded statement?
No, and we usually advise against it until you have talked to a lawyer. That adjuster is paid by the company that will write your check. The questions sound routine, but their purpose is to fix your account of the injuries and the fault while you are still sore and guessing. Your own carrier is different: your policy does require you to report the crash promptly.
