SMB Law, PC (“SMB Law,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit law-smb.com (the “Site”), contact us, attend our events, receive our communications, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the “Services”).
This Policy also describes certain choices you may have and rights you may exercise under federal and state laws, as well as disclosures for residents of California, Texas, Virginia, Colorado, and other jurisdictions with privacy laws, and for visitors from the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom (UK).
Attorney–Client Relationship. Using our Site or sending us information does not create an attorney–client relationship. Do not send confidential information until you have an executed engagement agreement with SMB Law. We treat information we receive consistent with our professional duties and applicable laws.

- Matter and intake information(e.g., description of your legal issue, opposing party names for conflict checks, court deadlines, documents you upload).
- Professional and employment information(e.g., employer, job title) when relevant to a matter.
- Payment-related informationyou submit to pay invoices or retainers (processed by our payment processors; we do not store full payment card numbers).
- Preferences(e.g., newsletter or event signups) and communications (e.g., emails, calls, SMS if you opt in).
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data(e.g., IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, pages viewed, links clicked, referring/exit pages, timestamps).
- Approximate locationderived from IP address.
- Cookies, pixels, and similar technologiesthat help operate the Site, measure performance, prevent fraud, and, where applicable, personalize content. See Section 6.
1.3 Information from third parties
- Referrals(e.g., other attorneys or clients who refer you to us).

If you are in the EEA/UK, our processing bases include: performance of a contract, legitimate interests (e.g., Site security, client service), legal obligations, and consent where required (e.g., certain cookies/marketing communications). You may withdraw consent at any time.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for crosscontext behavioral advertising, as those terms may be defined under certain state laws. We may disclose information to:

Do Not Track (DNT). Our Site does not respond to DNT browser signals. California law requires that we disclose this practice. See Section 8.1 for details.

- Email marketing.You can opt out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in those emails. We may still send you nonmarketing messages (e.g., about your matter or billing).
- Text messages (SMS/MMS).We send texts only with your express consent. You can opt out by replying STOP; for help, reply HELP. Message and data rates may apply. Optouts do not affect servicerelated texts you request (e.g., twofactor codes).
- Cookies/Analytics.Use our cookie banner (where provided) and your browser settings to manage cookies.
8. StateSpecific Privacy Rights (U.S.)
8.1 California (CCPA/CPRA) Disclosures
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to: (a) know/access categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected about you; (b) correct inaccurate personal information; (c) delete personal information; (d) opt out of sale or sharing; (e) limit use/disclosure of sensitive personal information; and (f) be free from discrimination for exercising your rights.
- Do Not Sell/Share.We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by the CPRA. If our use of thirdparty cookies/pixels is interpreted as a sale/share, we will honor GPC signals and provide additional optout mechanisms.
- Submitting requests.You (or your authorized agent) may submit a verifiable request by emailing [email protected]. We will verify your identity using information we reasonably maintain. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
8.2 Texas (TDPSA) Notice
If you are a Texas resident, you may have rights to confirm, access, correct, delete, data portability, and opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and specific profiling. We honor legally required universal optout mechanisms where applicable. Submit requests using the methods listed above.
8.3 Other U.S. States
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Oregon, and other states with privacy laws may have similar rights. To exercise them, use the contact methods above. We will process requests consistent with applicable law.

9. International Disclosures (EEA/UK)
SMB Law, PC is the controller for processing described in this Policy.
- Legal basesare described in Section 2. Where consent applies, you may withdraw it at any time.
- We may transfer personal information outside your country (including to the U.S.). When we do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) as required by law.
