During law school, he worked as a law clerk for Gallagher, Lewis, Downey & Kim, where he developed strong skills in legal research, appellate writing, and trial preparation. During that time, he also worked on matters connected to one of the largest commercial settlements in United States history.

After graduating from law school in 2002, Shane began his legal career in private practice at Heard, Robins, Cloud, Lubel & Greenwood LLP in Houston. He then returned to Austin to serve as General Counsel to Senator Mario Gallegos in the Texas Senate. In that role, he worked on legislative drafting, legal analysis, and public policy matters, gaining valuable insight into how laws are written, interpreted, and applied.

Shane later joined the Office of the Texas Attorney General, where he handled matters involving transportation, eminent domain, and administrative law. He also served as a legislative liaison with the Texas Legislature. This combination of litigation, legislative, and government experience gives him a well-rounded perspective that benefits clients facing serious legal disputes.
