SMB Law, PC was founded in 2010 by Shane M. Boasberg with a mission to serve the citizens of Central Texas, including Travis, Williamson, and Hays Counties. SMB Law, PC helps clients understand their options, prepare carefully, and pursue fair outcomes based on the facts, the law, and each client’s goals.
Shane M. Boasberg was born and raised in New Orleans, LA, and moved to the Lone Star State to attend The University of Texas at Austin, TX. After receiving undergraduate degrees in Government and History from the University of Texas at Austin, TX, Mr. Boasberg attended South Texas College of Law in Houston, TX. While attending law school, Shane worked as a law clerk for the prestigious law firm of Gallagher, Lewis, Downey, and Kim. During this time, he gained experience in legal and appellate research and writing, as well as trial preparation, working on the largest commercial litigation settlements recorded in United States legal history.
BIOGRAPHY
Shane graduated from South Texas College of Law in 2002 and immediately made an impact in the legal field. He began his career at Heard, Robins, Cloud, Lubel, and Greenwood LLP in Houston, and in 2003 returned to Austin, TX, to serve as General Counsel to the Honorable Senator Mario Gallegos in the Texas Senate. In this role, Shane’s legal acumen and drafting skills were put to the test as he provided legal advice, prepared opinions, bill analyses, briefs, and drafted bills and amendments for legislative consideration, serving the citizens of Texas with distinction.
